Welcome to PSYowa!

Welcome to PSYowa, the new blog from the Iowa Psychological Association! This blog will be a place for quality information about psychology, mental health, and related issues. We are excited for the launch of this blog and hope that it will be a place that everyone can learn more about psychology and mental health. The Iowa Psychological Association is an association of psychologists and those studying psychology committed to making their world a better place. One of the many ways that they do this is through the promotion of public education. In the blog posts to come we hope to provide interesting and informative information to you about a wide range of topics related to psychology.

Keep in mind that the purpose of this blog is solely public education and will not serve as a source for therapeutic advice. If you are looking for a psychologist or require therapeutic advice check out http://locator.apa.org/ for information about a psychologist near you.

We also welcome your comments and discussion on the comment section of the blog. Keep in mind that this is not the place to share deeply personal information and remember to be respectful of others. Comments will be moderated by the blog author and will not be posted if they are disrespectful or are inappropriate for this context.

If anyone has an idea or suggestion for a blog topic please feel free to email the blog author and it may be used in a future post. Don't forget to keep an eye on the blog for new posts and information about psychology.
